The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a budget and do not need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be converted into a stroller after 6 months by using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller into the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then decide the best mode for their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket for all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore has two canopies that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This might not be ideal for long drives or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy however, it isn't able to bend like other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored well in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. None of the parts required tools. It's missing certain features we consider essential in double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted into a seat and carrycot with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

It is really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. The narrow pushchair sailed through all day bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can rotate. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them move and it performed well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tested, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels sturdy and well-made. It maneuvers expertly across different kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. It can also be linked with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through tight streets with ease.

It also comes with a travel system ready with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are easy to use with single stroller cheap action, colour coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is easy to use and has an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't perfect it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be placed so that they face each one. They can also be set towards the parents. This will help reduce sibling arguments over who gets seated with dad and mom. It comes with a large tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also has a folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal jogger for parents that like to be active. It's one of the lightest running strollers that you can buy for your child. It comes with excellent safety features such as five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models that are an innovative twist.

The seat is well padded and offers a large area to sit. However the seat's depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin comes with an enclosed zipper to help keep items secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as of yet, but you can use it from day one by purchasing adapters to most seats from brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and put together in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
